July Celebrations

In the first part of the month during the weekend of the 4th of July, we celebrated my birthday with family. My Grandpa Joe got me a homemade icecream maker so we made some for dessert to go with the rhubarb crisp my mom made at my request. We grilled chicken and Uncle Joe brought a bunch of night fireworks that we all enjoyed that night. Elaina enjoyed her first 4th of July. She loved the "poppers" that my dad threw on the ground. He did a little dance ever time they hit the ground and Elaina would just laugh and laugh. She didn't even cry when the black cats went off! Elaina turned 9 months and started army crawling. A whole new world opened up as she was able to start exploring on her own. She also got her two top left front teeth in! Those were the most painful so far as she was grumpy and woke up during the night, both which are uncharacteristic for her. She also got sick for the first time with a virus, high fever, and rash. It lasted a few days and she recovered well.

Look at that bedhead! Her hair is really growing.

She discovered the cold air coming from the vent and loved the feel of it.
She would put her mouth on it because the cold metal felt good on her teeth!
Having breakfast on the porch with my family.
My birthday celebration with the big spread for my birthday dinner before us.

Guess who's making homemade icecream!

Look at those spots! Poor baby.
Somebody is not feeling well.
